Before the clippers, there was a glove. Steve spent his early years chasing fly balls across diamonds in Canada, the U.S., France, and Australia. But long before his passport was full of stamps, he was carving lines through snow on the hills of Blue Mountain. Skiing by age three, snowboarding by seven, and tuning gear in his uncle's legendary shop Skis Please, Steve grew up with the mantra:

"A job worth doing is worth doing right."It stuck.

When a wrist injury brought him home from a ball season in Australia, Steve made a pivot that would change everything. He enrolled in hair school—thinking that wherever ball took him, he could take his tools with him. But what started as a side hustle quickly revealed a deeper calling. After working in his family's spa at the base of the mountain, he discovered barbering. And from that moment, he never looked back.

In 2013, Steve opened The Shop Barber & Brand. It wasn't about being flashy—it was about being real. A place where precision meets tradition, where conversation is as important as the cut, and where the game is always on in the background.

Steve is a craftsman at heart. A creator. An athlete. A proud dad. Humble to the core. But if you know, you know—he's one of the best in the game.
